Our Time Classes, 18 months - 3 1/2 years old, experience music through all of their senses. Keeping a steady beat to The Muffin Man, dancing up high & down low to Great Big House in New Orleans, and even eating muffins. These little friends follow the routine of class and excitedly help with the instruments, dances, clean up & quiet rest time. And they are all just 3 and under. Amazing when little ones know what we expect of them and know what to expect.

The Village classes, 0 - 18 month olds, have been feeling the rumble rumble zoom zoom of music these past 5 weeks and now ride in the buggy all about the room. Cardboard boxes make great buggies. Moms and kids alike all smile as the little ones travel around the room. We’re all making new friends, first friends, mommies & babies.

It’s all come full circle. In the Fall of 2006, I began my Kindermusik journey as an instructor after being a participant for 10 + years! And now, I begin this fall teaching the curricula that got me started, Milk & Cookies (Our Time), Zoom Buggy & Dream Pillow (Village), and adding Hello Weather, Let’s play together, (Imagine That!) Click on the curricula page & all ages and benefits are detailed. Also, I just found out (you all probably already knew this), if you click the Kindermusik International at the bottom of the page, it takes you to Kindermusik’s own site. They have updated/upgraded their site & the curriculum choices for review are excellent!

The Tuesday Our Time class is filled to the brim, and now we will roll folks over to Wednesdays. The Village Wednesday class is filling.

If you have the need for an earlier Imagine That! (3-5 year olds), I’m contemplating that for Thursday mornings, my daughter has an afternoon Pre K & I want to be able to offer her the same opportunity that the older children had! Also, I can do a later Imagine That! 1 - 2 instead of 12:30 - 1:30. I’m flexible.

Imagine That! is wonderful for the first time away from mommy/nanny/daddy experience because the caregivers are just in the next room should the little ones need to check in. I love it because it’s guided playing with children. They are always amazing!

I’ve learned from experience that schedules sometimes are not set in stone, so depending on interest and folks’ preschool scheduling needs, another Our Time Tuesday could be opened. If that were to happen, we’d have only the Village class on Wednesday available.

This week, we’re back in the back yard with the birds, bunnies, bees, turtles and bugs.

Thank you to all our families who have participated, I’ve had such fun & my own children have enjoyed being assistants!

Creatures in the Backyard had us investigating a robin’s nest, eating gummy worms (off a plate) with just our mouths, planting seeds & growing up up up towards the sun like our plants will, we were tickled by “Old John the Rabbit” & played a glockenspiel so we could make a butterfly flutterby. If I have enough interest, I’d be willing to go in the Backyard again August 4 - 7.

Creatures of the Ocean promises to be just as fun July 21 - 24. Crab walking, sand castle building, and dancing with Mary Ann and making our own Maracas are just a few of the ideas. Hope you’ll join us.
